When I see Jim in my mind, his great smile dominates the picture. Wish we could have taken a horseback trip together... My thoughts and prayers are with all the Pruitts.

May you feel love and support in this time of grief and loss.

I had the privilege of knowing Jim for the last six years. I came to really appreciate his kindness and friendship that I felt in him. I will miss him.

Foresters like myself come and go. But Jim Pruitt was the man that everyone on the Tonasket Ranger District regarded as the most experienced and responsible man in the woods. Whether we were thinning trees in winter, planting seedlings in spring, or fighting fires in summer, everyone looked to Jim as the man who always knew what was the right thing to do. Some leaders are just respected. Others are liked. Jim was both. I think it’s fair to say that all of us who worked with him will miss this solid, capable man.

Jim, Kass, Teri, and families - You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you celebrate a life. Uncle Jim was one of the best story-tellers and his laughter could just lift everyone up!I recall some very delicious huckleberry pancakes he made at Wauconda too! May your own special memories bring you peace during this time. Love, your cousin Shelly

My cousin, "Big Jimmy," was a really good and a very principled man.

When my mother, his first cousin, was dying of cancer (she lived only 3 more months), he got all his children to sing "Happy birthday" to her over the phone. At the end, everybody yelled into the receiver, "Happy birthday, Becky!"

My mother was so touched it was unbelievable. So many friends had just abandoned her because they couldn't deal with her illness. It meant the world to her what Jim did and it meant the world to me.

He was a wonderful man.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember your dad and he was a great guy. TGake comfort knowing he is with the rest of the Tonasket Pioneers like my dad,Cecil Moore and all the rest probably having a great time talking about the old days.

Sending my love to the family. My heart is aching with yours.

May God's hold you close to his heart, and comfort you all today and in the weeks and months to come.

Your Dad was a ray of sunshine in my life, bringing me many years of laughter. After my parents were gone, he was there, like the glue holding us together. He helped me through more than once and having him in my life will always be one of my greatest treasures.

I love you.
